Police are investigating after a staff member in a Swindon convenience store was allegedly subjected to sexual comments and verbal abuse.

At around 10.30am on Sunday, February 25, two men entered the Morrisons Daily store in Penhill.

One of the men then reportedly made sexual and inappropriate comments towards a female member of staff before swearing and shouting in her face.

Officers are now investigating and have urged any shoppers who witnessed the alleged incident to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for information following an incident which occurred in Morrisons, Penhill.

“At approximately 10.30am on Sunday February 25, two men have entered the store and one of the men has made sexual and inappropriate comments towards a member of staff before swearing and shouting in her face.

“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the shop at the time who witnessed the incident.
