A Swindon teenager has been left “shaken” after allegedly being robbed by a gang of masked offenders believed to be carrying knives.

The incident happened when the victim, a 17-year-old boy, was walking along a footpath to the rear of Shaw Ridge Leisure Park, at around 9.15pm on Friday, March 8.

He was approached by three males who appeared from a bush before reportedly robbing him of personal items, including a mobile phone, expensive trainers, a jumper, and a gold chain.

Two of these suspects are believed to have been carrying knives.

All three were wearing face masks and made off on foot in the direction of Lydiard Park.

The victim was not injured during the incident, but police say he was left “shaken up.”

Officers carried out area searches but could not locate the offenders.

Their investigation remains ongoing, and any witnesses have been urged to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Swindon.
