A new dedicated clothing shop for plus-size women has opened at the Swindon McArthurGlen Designer Outlet

Chesca opened on Saturday, March 9, and still features the tell-tale red carpet that welcomes any new shop in the outlet.

The shop aims to sell stylish clothes from famous brands which are comfortable for everyone, branding itself as ‘Curvy yet contemporary’.

Kelly Newton, who is managing the opening of the store, said: “We have had a great response, which is good.

“People know the Chesca brand, which specialises in occasion wear, evening wear, designer brands and smart-casual separates.

“This is the first week we have had at the outlet and so far the response has been fantastic”.

They offer discounts of 20 to 70 per cent on certain items, while one-off designer brands can be up to 70 to 90 per cent off.

One-off designer pieces can come from brands such as Moschino, Armani and Feraud.

Chesca was founded by Jacqui Green, who is a size 20, and saw a gap in the market from many unsuccessful shopping excursions which led her to start the Chesca brand.

Before this, the last shop to open at the McArthurGlen retail village was Rituals Cosmetics.
