A man has been left with injuries after a violent assault in North Swindon. 

The victim was outside the Abbey Meads pub, in Abbey Meads, at 9.30pm on March 2 when they were attacked. 

The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained head injuries during the assault.

Police are now looking for anyone who might have been in the area at the time to get in touch with anything they might have seen that could help them with their enquiries. 

A spokesperson said: "Officers investigating an assault which occurred in Abbey Meads, Swindon, are appealing for witnesses.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
