A town centre road was blocked off by police on Saturday morning.

Pedestrians and motorists were prevented from entering Farnsby Street at roughly 8am.

Wiltshire Police confirmed this was due to a 'medical incident' and that it was resolved safely by approximately 9.20am.

Some disruption to traffic was caused with Swindon Bus Company needing to reroute some buses

A spokesperson for the bus company said: "Farnsby Street is currently closed by the Police, service 1/1A/1B and 5 have been diverted to Regent Circus via Station Road, Corporation Street and Princess Street until further notice and will not be able to serve Farnsby Street or Commercial Road stops."
