Police are searching for a suspect who attacked a man with a knife in Trowbridge.
Officers attended an address on Fore Street at around 6.45pm on Monday evening after responding to reports of a male being "injured by a blade" during an altercation with a person known to the victim.
The injured man has been taken to hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson added: "Active enquiries are ongoing to locate the suspect.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 999 quoting log 256 of today’s date."
Police cordoned off part of the town's centre for just over two hours while forensic investigation teams analysed and photographed Fore Street, with police vehicles and vans parked nearby.
The cordons were lifted at around 9pm and the police investigation then centred on flats in Park Road.
