More than a dozen Swindon restaurants and takeaways have received new hygiene ratings.
Inspectors have published the results of visits to 19 establishments around the town.
Takeaways awarded top marks included Pizza 2 Night on Cricklade Road, Super Pizza on Fleet Street, Bombay Spice Ltd at the Ellendune Centre in Wroughton, Wroughton Pizza and Kebab on Wharf Road, Monica’s Fish Bar on Highdown Way, and Pizzaria and Sammy’s Chinese Food Takeaway, which are both on Swindon Street in Highworth.
The Raj in Shaw Ridge, the New Century Club in Gorse Hill, Cold Harbour pub on Ermin Street in Stratton and The Jovial Monk on Highdown Way in St Andrews Ridge also received the highest possible rating.
Many of the latest new ratings are for cafes which form part of a wider site, such as a workplace, community centre, public space, or adventure park.
Freedog Swindon Ltd on Bramble Road, the Open Door Centre and Café in St Barnabus Church, the Forest Café in Lydiard Park’s visitor centre, the Community Enterprise Centre Café on Atworth Close in Penhill, Baxter Storey Ltd in the Network Rail site on Holbrook Way, Baxter Storey in the Amazon BRS2 building on Laines Way, the UK Café on Staldon Court in East Wichel, and the Grange Leisure community leisure centre in Stratton all received five out of five.
