An often flood-stricken road has once again been affected by flood-related disruption.
Perry's Lane in Wroughton has been the site of an ongoing battle against the elements after having frequently flooded every time there is heavy rain over a prolonged amount of time.
And on April 4, it rained and the road flooded again, leading to Swindon Borough Council issuing a warning to motorists.
It said: "Motorists driving through Wroughton are advised to take extra care if they are using Perry’s Lane.
"The stream running underneath the road is blocked, which has flooded the road and affected some neighbouring properties. The road remains passable at slow speeds.
"Our crews are currently on site and have deployed sandbags where needed. It is too early to say what has caused the blockage."
Previously, the road was most recently closed after flooding in February, and again in October 2023.
Issues with flooding in Perry's lane date back as far as 2020, when prolonged disruption was caused and major construction work was needed.
This flooding prompted someone in Wroughton to add a model seal to the water.
