A man is in custody following a report of an attempted vehicle theft in Swindon.
Wiltshire Police received a report of a man acting suspiciously around 'high-value vehicles' in the Tadpole Garden Village area of Swindon in the early hours of the morning between 1am and 2.30am.
Officers attended the scene at and after carrying out searches located the man who matched the description they had been given.
The suspect, 36, was then arrested on suspicion of attempted theft of a motor vehicle, going equipped to steal and conspiracy to commit theft.
He remains at Gablecross Police Station for questioning.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from any witnesses, or anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage which could assist our enquiries.
