A beauty and cosmetic salon in Royal Wootton Bassett has been vandalised overnight, leaving staff heartbroken.
The vandals took to The Gloss Lounge, based just off Royal Wootton Bassett's High Street, on Friday night (April 5) and caused significant damage to the small business by smashing the windows.
Business owner Jessica Willey has said she is thankful that CCTV covers the area, which means she isn't going to have to pay out to fix all of the damage, but is still distraught that her salon has been targeted.
"Things like this affect small businesses so much! We don’t have huge profits to cover the cost of replacing windows," she said.
"It’s been reported to the police this morning and the CCTV will be checked by them, but if anyone may have seen or heard what happened please get in touch."
The Gloss Lounge has been based in its current location since it opened two and a half years ago, but Jessica and her team had been preparing to move to a larger retail space when the vandals attacked.
The new premises will be less than a five-minute walk from her current salon and she hopes to open its new doors in the early summer.
This recent act of vandalism follows a spate of attacks in Royal Wootton Bassett this month, with the public toilets at Boroughfields being targeted by "bored" young vandals in the same week as The Gloss Lounge.
