Nearly 1,000 speeding cars were caught in March 2024 by Wiltshire Police.
According to the Speed Enforcement Officers, a total of 941 cars were caught speeding with 115 drivers fined or with points put on their licence.
Local forces have been carrying out speed checks recently, with four drivers issued with notices of intended prosecution for speeding in Malmesbury.
One driver on Ashton Keynes was caught doing 53 miles per hour on the 50 speed limit road, with three drivers offered speed awareness courses.
In March 2023 a total of 810 drivers were offered speed awareness courses.
The recent speed check in other areas of Wiltshire found only one other speeder, in Devizes, who was offered a speed awareness course.
Wiltshire Police said: “As the days are getting longer (and hopefully the weather shows signs of getting better soon), it is a reminder to be safe, drive smart and watch your speed on the roads.”
It said on the Devizes Police Facebook page: “Be safe on the roads - If you see someone driving dangerously, or believe someone is driving under the influence, please call 101 or In an emergency, always dial 999.”
