A man charged with rape in the town centre was arrested with the help of a police dog.
The Wiltshire Police Dogs X account posted to saying the suspect was apprehended in Swindon thanks to the assistance of one of their animals.
A spokesperson said: "A little recognition of good teamwork from local policing teams in Swindon, Wiltshire Spec Ops and our lovely PD Conan whose presence prevented the suspect fleeing the scene."
Wiltshire Police have been unable to give any more information, but have urged anyone who has been a victim of rape or sexual assault to report the incident to the police.
"We have specially trained officers and partner organisations here to listen and work together to support you in any way we can," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
