A new bike repair unit has been installed to encourage people to ditch the car and cycle to work.
The feature was first spotted in Ferndale near Harcourt Road this week.
Central Swindon North Council introduced the repair station on X (formerly Twitter) and said more will be added "across the parish's busiest cycling routes".
The unit also appears to work for pushchair and wheelchair maintenance.
This comes after Swindon Borough Council were awarded £381,500 from Active Travel England last year to improve accessibility for cyclists, pedestrians and disabled people across key routes in town.
One Ferndale resident said: “I think it’s a novel and innovative idea for the community.
“I know I've been caught without a pump or tools many times when cycling and can only imagine how much of a pain having a slow puncture could be for someone in a wheelchair.
“It's nice to see an improvement in the area and I hope it stays in one piece long enough for people to get some decent use from it.”
But one user on X responded to the council saying: “What are these exactly? What sort of equipment is it and how will it be used?”
