Trains were held on the platform at Swindon station during an incident that saw two men arrested.
Officers were called to the railway station at around 2.45pm on Monday, April 16, but very little information was given about the nature of the incident at the time.
Police have now confirmed that one man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
A second man, aged in his 20s, has also been arrested on suspicion of assault, as well as suspicion of possessing a Class B drug and using threatening or abusive words/behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
The man in his 20s has been released on bail while the man in his 30s was taken inti custody for further questioning.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police added: “Wiltshire Police were first on scene."
