A rule-breaking Liverpool fan has been mocked by police on social media after being pulled over in Wiltshire.
The Wiltshire Specialist Ops Xpage provides updates on the county's Roads Policing Unit and Armed Response Group.
On Thursday, April 11, it posted about one of the stops that day, which involved a silver-coloured Mazda 2 that had a Liver bird sticker on it that also said 'me and my bird'.
The driver was found to have no insurance and was their car was seized by police.
But the Wiltshire Spec Ops post itself mentioned the motorist's football team and included several football-related puns as well as the hashtags "YouveGotNoFansYouveGotNoCar", "YouAreWalkingAlone" and "KlippertyKlopp".
The full post said: "One of today’s stops was this Liverpool supporter who walked alone after being relegated from the driver's seat for having no insurance. Extra time was needed on the policy and the driver was booked."
A member of the public commented: "Seems a fair Kop."
The roads policing unit regularly uses X to highlight motorists who were caught driving with defective tyres, without insurance or licenses, or exhibiting one of what it calls the 'fatal five' behaviours.
