A teenager has been accused of keeping class-A drugs and nine thousand pounds cash in his mum’s garage.
The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was living with his mum and two other children under ten at the time in Swindon.
Mr Cooper, prosecuting, said that police searched the property and found in an outhouse garage the drugs with an estimated street value of £50,000 and the £9,000 in cash.
The youth now stands accused of being concerned in the supply of cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis and ketamine.
He is also accused of possessing with intent to supply heroin and cocaine.
He said: “My mum is a very good mum”. His mother did not speak but cried in the courtroom.
The youth was remanded in the care of the local authority.
The grandmother said: “We want him home and we want to support him.”
The youth was defended by Mr Glendinning.
It was adjourned to the youth court due to the defendant’s age, appearing in Salisbury Youth Court on May 30.
