A man has been arrested after Wiltshire Police officer's senses were set off.
Officers from Wiltshire Police's Roads Policing Unit (RPU) noticed that a male driver was behind the wheel of a Vauxhall in Swindon when only a female was on the car's insurance records.
After pulling the car over near Faringdon Park in Swindon's town centre, police discovered that the driver didn't even have a license, although he did have an expired provisional.
As well as being unlicensed, and uninsured, he was found to be under the influence of cannabis.
The passenger, who owned the car, had allowed the driver to use the vehicle.
Police confirmed that following the stop, the driver was arrested and the car owner passenger was reported.
The incident was posted on the Wiltshire Specialist Ops Twitter page, along with a picture of the traffic stop.
in response, a member of the public asked why the passenger wasn't driving her own car and had let the male drive it instead.
The Wiltshire Specialist Ops account replied: "Passenger was drunk"
