A large tree has fallen partially blocking a busy Swindon road.
A willow tree opposite the Holiday Inn on Dorcan Well has collapsed with part of it blocking one side of the route.
The fallen tree, which had been identified at potential risk of falling last week, did indeed give way.
This has led to members of Swindon Borough Council's Highways Team having to attend armed with chainsaws on Saturday afternoon.
Marianne Le Coyte Grinney said: "Best to avoid Dorcan Way opposite Holiday Inn at the moment, Highways are on the scene."
One member of the public said: " I was shocked to see it down, it's right across path grass and the top of the tree is about 4' in the road.
