A former Swindon hospital director has admitted stalking his masseuse - labelling her a 'prostitute'.
Peter Hill, 63, of Coronation Road, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to embarking on a prolonged period of harassment while he was a non-executive director of Great Western Hospital.
The senior NHS official, who was also formerly chief executive of Salisbury District Hospital, turned up at the woman's home, wrote letters to her husband and appeared when she met up with friends over a year and a half.
On April 26, Salisbury Magistrates' Court heard that he had made unwanted contact with the woman around 150 times between June 1, 2022 and January 11, 2024.
Prosecutor David Logan-Rose said the victim, who previously worked as Hill's masseuse, was labelled a "prostitute" when he turned up at her property and banged on the window.
He told of how the defendant would follow her to meetings with her friends and then confront her about why she refused to meet up with him.
He also watched her on a CCTV camera, wrote letters to her husband, attended her home address and threatened to contact the taxman about her finances.
Barrister Sannah Dad, defending, said her client is a "happily married man" and "his wife is sat outside court today".
She added that Hill has no previous convictions and has shown "exemplary conduct in the community and throughout his life".
Ms Dad said that the defendant's offending was "just a blip" and it was "clear there was some form of friendship at some point" between the pair.
She continued: "He is extremely remorseful, however, he is quite clear that his motive was only to expose the complainant and her said husband with what they were doing with a sham marriage, hence the mention of the HMRC."
Hill, formerly of Coronation Road, Salisbury, was fined £1,000.
He was told to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a surcharge of £400.
The defendant - who has worked in NHS roles for 40 years - was appointed chief executive of Salisbury District Hospital in 2013 and left the role in February 2017.
The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH) website listed the defendant as a non-executive director, having been appointed in April 2017.
But he has since been removed and a GWH spokesperson confirmed he left his role in March this year.
They said: “Peter Hill was a non-executive director until March 2024, when his term of office ended.”
Hill is a current trustee and director of Salisbury Hospice Charity. He was appointed in March 2019, according to Companies House.
