The drive-thru of a Swindon McDonald’s will be closed for ‘quite a while’ due to a broken till.
The till in the Greenbridge store has been broken since around 3pm today (May 8) and staff could not give an estimate of when it would be fixed.
A staff member at the shop said: “Our card payment is only working in store but not in drive-thru, which is shut.
“It has been shut for a while now. We have to get a new till from the company and everything.”
The staff member said that the till has been broken since the afternoon, from around 3pm.
At the site, the drive-thru is blocked off with orange cones.
He continued: “It’s going to take quite a while, I cannot give you an ETA. But our store is still open, you can still come inside and order on the tills.”
Ordering is still possible on the app to have food delivered to your parking space.
This comes two months after McDonald’s in Swindon was closed due to an international IT issue.
McDonald’s restaurants around the UK and Ireland were hit by a major IT issue on the morning of 15 March causing nationwide closures.
