The owner of an Indian restaurant has announced that it will soon close.
Doon Valley Indian Takeaway has been serving customers on Wroughton's High Street for the last five years, but will not continue to do so for much longer.
A spokesperson said: "With a heavy heart, we must announce that this weekend will be our final one serving you meals at Doon Valley.
"It's been an incredible journey filled with laughter, joy, and the pleasure of serving each and every one of you.
"Thank you all!"
This prompted an outpouring of complimentary comments as customers wished staff well and expressed their sadness at this sudden news.
One said: "Doon Valley Indian takeaway is the best takeaway for miles around.
"I wish Ram and his team the very best of luck for the future and a big thank you for all the delicious meals you have served us."
Ram Painuly said: "Thanks for your support and kind words."
The reason for the closure has not been disclosed, though the team hope to reopen in a new location elsewhere in the Swindon area at some point in the near future.
