A man from Swindon was found dead in his home after neighbours grew concerned.
An inquest into the death of Lee James Emblen, 47, from Walcot, was concluded on Friday, May 10.
During the hearing, Swindon and Wiltshire Coroners' Court heard how one of his neighbours used to see him walking past her house regularly, but after realising she hadn't seen him for a few days, she went to check his home and saw his feet on the floor through a window.
Emergency services attended and Mr Emblen was confirmed dead on March 26, 2023, after being found unresponsive on the floor.
Coroner Mr Ian Singleton read out statements from Mr Emblen's GP, Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership and rehabilitation organisation Turning Point, as well as his father.
It was established that Mr Emblen had suffered a lot of loss throughout his life, suffered from poor mental health and had been a regular user of drugs.
In addition, the most recent loss of his brother Paul from the previous year, whom he lived with and who used to look after him, had impacted him significantly.
But there were no signs that he had deliberately taken his own life, with Mr Ridley ruling out suicide in his deliberations.
He instead attributed Mr Emblen's death to being drug-related as a post-mortem had determined the cause of death to be toxicity caused by anti-depressant medication, further exacerbated by his weight and a missing kidney.
