A new opening date for Swindon's Hollywood Bowl has been revealed.
Tenpin Swindon in Shaw Ridge is currently the town's only bowling alley - but not for much longer.
Unit 15 of Greenbridge Retail Park is gradually being transformed into a bowling alley and amusement arcade, though from the outside it still seems bare.
The Original Bowling Company Limited submitted a premises licence application to Swindon Borough Council around this time last year which would allow it to sell alcohol there and open from 9am to 1am Monday to Sunday.
The local authority approved this application in August and fencing went up around the building shortly afterwards.
An original expected opening date of spring 2024 was pushed back to the summer.
The webpage for the latest addition to the bowling brand's portfolio, which includes existing venues in Bristol, Cheltenham, and Oxford, now promises that it will open its doors in August.
It added: "Bowling in Swindon can't get any better.
"With amazing deals on food and drink, and the best bowling lanes, our Hollywood Bowl Swindon centre is the perfect place to create everlasting memories.
"With 22 lanes to bowl along, a luxury VIP area, and a thrilling amusements area; what are you waiting for?"
