Work has started to spruce up a recently reopened pub.
After a period of closure, The Cross Keys in Wanborough reopened in February under new landlords.
Adam, 51 and Sonja Travers, 40 are the pair behind the bar at the village boozer, which has been well received since reopening, especially for its food offerings.
But to match the new faces running the pub, the building itself is currently undergoing a face-lift.
It was announced on the Cross Keys Wanborough social media, which said: "We are open but we are looking a bit bare at the moment because starting from Monday, May 13, the pub will be having a fresh lick of paint and some new signage putting up ready for summer."
It was closed on Monday, May 13, for scaffolding to be put up, and then painting has been underway since.
When the painting has finished, new signage will be put up.
A pub spokesperson said they hoped all work would be complete in two to three weeks.
The pub had previously closed 'for good' on October 7, 2022.
Adam has been running pubs for over 30 years and Sonja for the last 12 alongside him
At the time of taking it over, they said: “This pub just has masses of potential, it is a beautiful pub and we hate to see businesses close."
