Two teenagers have been arrested and weapons seized by armed police after “threats to kill” were allegedly made.

Officers rushed to Westwood Road in Penhill at around 9.30pm on Sunday, May 20, after the report was made.

A moped reportedly fled the scene and was subsequently followed to an address by a police drone.

Armed police were deployed to the property where they arrested two teenage boys.

Officers say two weapons, which appear to be large knives, were also seized from the address.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Two teenagers have been arrested in Swindon after threats to kill were made.

“A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and threats to destroy or damage property.

“A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and possession of a knife or blade in a public area.”

Both suspects remain in custody for questioning.
