Two Swindon businessmen who hope to buy the Tented Market are being accused of unpaid wages and unfair dismissal.
Callum Forbes and Mathew Gillard’s company CCH Carpet Cleaning Ltd is being taken to an employment tribunal.
The case will be heard in Bristol Civil and Family Justice Centre on May 28 and 29.
The full grounds for the case are: “Unfair dismissal on grounds of capability, conduct or some other general reason including the result of a transfer of an undertaking.”
And: “Failure of employer to pay or unauthorised deductions have been made.”
The company was established in May 2021 and is active with Forbes and Gillard listed as directors on Companies House.
CCH Carpet Cleaning LTD describes itself on Google as offering commercial and office cleaning services, deep commercial cleaning services, squat cleaning, crime scene cleaning, office carpet cleaning and dwelling carpet cleaning.
It adds: “We have a range of products for cleaning your home and business CLEANING PRODUCTS FOR SALE.”
Forbes and Gillard recently announced they were hoping to buy and reopen the Market Hall, or Tented Market.
They hoped to own the leasehold in two weeks.
Tented Market’s owners, Panther Securities Plc, confirmed they had been in talks with Forbes.
