An eight-year-old girl from Wiltshire has raised nearly £2,000 by challenging herself to walk 100 miles in memory of her loving nan.
Pippa, from Baydon, sadly lost her ‘Nanny Sue’ in March 2023 after a long battle with Crohn’s disease.
She decided to raise money for Crohn's and Colitis UK by walking 50 miles before the end of May, setting a target of £250.
After completing 74 miles and raising £1,900, she’s determined to keep going towards her new goal of 100 miles.

Her mum Lucy said: “Pip and Nanny Sue did so much together, from baking, to playing games, to arts and crafts and enjoying the great outdoors.
“We are blown away by her efforts. Her longest walk was 18.2 miles and she regularly walks to school in Aldbourne from Baydon. Pip has had lots of friends and family members share a few miles with her, which has been amazing. She’s walked everyday and always does it with a smile, even if her legs are tired.”
They said they plan to celebrate at the end of the month with tea and cake and will always look to fundraise in memory of their beloved mum and nan in the future.
