Swindon has seen so many shops come and go over the years.
Some, like Blaylocks, continue to do a roaring trade to this day while others, like Aladdin's Cave and Wear It Well, have sadly had to close their doors and disappear from our high street.
We've had a look in the Adver archives and unearthed an alphabetical array of shopkeepers and storefronts from 20 to 30 years ago.
They range from local chains of national brands, like Waterstones or Bang and Olufsen, to more local homegrown entrepreneurial efforts like A E Tunley and Son or Andrews' Quality Meats.
Have a look through our gallery and let us know of your favourite retailers from years past.
