A popular dining destination well known for its steaks has thanked its customers as it prepares to close and reopen as something different.

Kenzo 72, in Hoopers Place, Old Town, has been delighting locals with its delicacies for nine years, but that will all be ending on June 16.

Once its doors have closed, work will be done to refurbish the building and it is understood that it will be reopening as something different with a new menu.

To mark the end, the business has sent its customers a message on its social media pages, explaining what is happening next.

A spokesperson for Kenzo 72 said: "Kenzo 72 is closing its doors for a short period of time. We have decided that it’s time for the next chapter.

"We would like to thank everyone that has supported us throughout the years, this is not goodbye, it’s see you later!

"We will be back with a fresh new look and some tasty new treats!

"Our last day open will be June 16 (Father’s Day) so book your tables now to avoid disappointment!

"Once again a massive thank you to everyone - we hope you are as excited as us for the next chapter!"

An exact date for its "fresh new look" has not been confirmed, but customers have been advised to keep an eye on the social media for a "relaunch date".
