The aftermath of a fire at a Swindon nightclub and events space can still be clearly seen weeks later.

On Wednesday, May 8, a fire broke out at the Tree nightclub building in Hoopers Place, which also houses a Subway and Anytime Fitness gym.

Emergency services attended that fire and put it out earlier in the day, but were called back to the area later that evening as the flames had erupted again.

Smoke could be seen billowing into the sky as onlookers watched on and it was later revealed that a section of the building's roof had been damaged by the fire.

Now just under three weeks later,  the damaged section of the roof can be seen covered up with bits of tarpaulin that have been weighed down by bricks tied to string.

A plank of wood and an old safety barrier with the Tree nightclub logo on it have been used to weigh them down.

Below this, a pile of rubble can be seen.

Approximately 50 firefighters fought the flames after 10 fire engines responded.

A section of the car park was blocked off the following day and remains closed.
