A van driver damaged another car when they threw an object from their window at a busy Swindon junction.

The driver of a blue Ford Transit is believed by police to have thrown the unspecified item from their van on the Greenbridge roundabout at 6pm on May 15, on the junction of Oxford Road coming onto the roundabout.

The object caused damage to the car’s paintwork. Oxford Road is called Slade Drive as it approaches the roundabout.

Police are now appealing for witnesses following the incident in east Swindon.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “If you saw what happened or have dash cam footage of the incident please contact us on 101 quoting reference number 54240056196.”

The full appeal states: “We are appealing for witnesses following an incident in east Swindon where a vehicle was damaged when a driver threw an object from their window.

“The incident happened on the Greenbridge roundabout at 6pm on May 15, on the junction of Oxford Road coming onto the roundabout.

“The driver of a Blue Ford Transit van is believed to have thrown an item from his vehicle at a car causing damage to the car's paintwork.”
