A driver who attended a Swindon car meet where a vehicle crashed into a crowd has been banned from the roads.
Brad Warren, of Upper Stratton, was arrested on September 30, 2023 at a car meet at Hawksworth Industrial Estate, which involved around 100 cars and 500 people.
The 31-year-old has been disqualified from driving for six months, fined £180 and ordered to pay a £72 surcharge and costs of £250 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He was found guilty at Swindon Magistrates' Court on May 23 of failing to supply driver details for a vehicle registered to him after being requested by police.
At the same meet, a car lost control while doing doughnuts and crashed into a crowd of spectators.
Several people were reported at the time as injured, one seriously.
In a video that circulated online in the days that followed, two cars can be seen drifting in the middle of a circle formed by a large group of people and around a smaller group of people forming an 'island' in the middle.
An arrest was made on suspicion of dangerous driving unconnected with the crash.
One car completes the drift, but an orange car following it stops drifting and instead goes straight forward into people watching.
Police have not said that Warren was connected to this incident.
