An Italian restaurant set to open this week has postponed its opening as preparations are “taking longer than expected”.
Grano Lab, now set to open on Victoria Road on June 8, has also released their menu and more information before their “grand opening”.
The restaurant promises a “unique dining experience for Italian food lovers”, replacing Gaetano after it closed in April.
The owner, Marco, said: “We have delayed as things took longer than we expected. The official date is Saturday, June 8.”
The newly released menu features classic pizza and “Grano Lab pizza”.
The “classic” include Margherita, Calabrian with spicy salami, nduja and honey, and Amatriciana, with crispy guanciale, red onion, black pepper and pecorino cheese.
The speciality pizzas include creations with meatballs, and non-tomato bases, using hazelnut cream, aubergine cream, or no liquid base at all (called “white pizza”).
There is also a choice of two calzoni on offer.
Apart from the pizza, there are in-house fresh pasta dishes: Parpadelle with wild boar and dark chocolate ragu, lasagna, and tagliatelle with Sicilian stuffed sausage.
As well as cocktails there is a range of desserts including tiramisu, pannacotta and profiteroles, among others.
Grano Lab will open on Saturday, June 8 at 131 Victoria Road.
