Seeing one supercar can be impressive, so seeing 25 can be special.

Yet this was what the McLaren Owner’s Club UK promised while parked at Blunsdon House Hotel in May as part of a tour of the Cotswolds

“It was quite a sight. It is quite amazing, especially when they're all lined up” said Lyndsey Dempster, events executive at the hotel.

“And then the following morning when they were leaving, as they all started their engines, it was quite some noise. Lovely noise, but, yeah.”

“People admire them”, she said, no less one lucky boy who got to sit in one.

Lyndsey remembered: “There was one young lad who got chatting to one of the owners, admiring one of the cars.

“The owner asked ‘would you like a sit’ and he said ‘yes please’, beaming from ear to ear.

The many-coloured cars were parked in front of the hotel in a roped-off area in front of where the drivers were staying.

According to car retailer Carwow, the price of a McLaren ranges from £190,000 up to more than £2 million for the “Speedtail”.

Security is a number one priority for the managers at the hotel: the drivers are given rooms facing their cars so they can keep an eye on them.

Although they get a lot of car clubs, they never advertise them in advance to draw attention to it.

Lyndsey said: “We're not going to announce to anybody what's going on because of the security and the value of the vehicles.

“But hotel guests do find out - they couldn’t miss them.”

Blunsdon House Hotel is a “luxury” four-star hotel in the north Swindon area of Blunsdon.

Lyndsey explained: “From the hotel side we have got something really quite special in this area.

“We allow them to park up on the grass at the rear of the hotel which makes the most amazing photograph with the view in the background. It is just a stunning view.

“And the fact we are tucked away in a quiet village as opposed to a main town hotel where they could be spotted. Especially clubs like the McLarens are looking for something a bit more discreet.

“I do not think there are too many hotels in this area that can offer what we can offer.”
