The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates' Court in recent days.
REDHOUSE: Asad Zaman, of Granville Road, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Toyota Yaris along the A4259 without due care and attention on December 16, 2023.
He received a fine of £183 and three penalty points on his driving licence, and must also pay £73 in court costs plus £90 to fund victim services.
TOWN CENTRE: Daniel Cavender, of Church Street in Bradford-on-Avon, has been sentenced for two driving offences.
The 49-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Vivaro around the Fleming Way car park while disqualified and without insurance on June 21, 2023.
He received a 12-month driving ban and a community order that requires him to carry out up to 30 rehabilitation activity days as well as pay £85 in court costs.
WALCOT: Yasin Mahmood, of Lennox Drive, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 33-year-old entered no plea to the charge but it was later proven that he drove a Skoda Octavia along the M4 Eastbound in Swindon without due care and attention on June 11, 2023.
He received a fine of £440 and six penalty points on his driving licence, and must also pay £90 in court costs as well as £176 to fund victim services.
STRATTON: Mark Lloyd, of Ermin Street, has been sentenced for criminal damage.
The 44-year-old pleaded guilty to damaging several windows belonging to Salvation Army Housing in Swindon on May 30, 2024.
He must pay £500 in compensation as well as £85 in court costs.
SWINDON: Cole Bateman, of Bristol Road in Keynsham, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 18-year-old drove a Skoda Fabia too fast along Great Western Way on September 3, 2023, when there was a temporary reduced speed limit of 30mph.
He has been banned from driving for 28 days, fined £115, and ordered to pay £90 in court costs plus £46 to fund victim services.
MOTORWAY: Carl Smith, of Little Down in Chippenham, has been sentenced for two driving offences.
The 48-year-old drove an Audi A4 along the M4 in Wiltshire at more than 70mph without due care and attention on September 4, 2023.
He received a fines totalling £737 and six penalty points on his driving licence, and must also pay £90 in court costs plus £178 to fund victim services.
MOTORWAY: Jason Taylor, of Village Road in Little Missenden, Buckinghamshire, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 36-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Porsche 911 Carrera along the M4 near Swindon at more than 70mph on September 5, 2023.
He received a six-month driving ban and a fine of £537 and must also pay £90 in court costs plus £215 to fund victim services.
TOWN CENTRE: Jake Johnson, of Coombe Road, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to using a handheld mobile phone while behind the wheel of a Citroen Berlingo on County Road on September 3, 2023.
He received a fine of £153 plus six penalty points on his driving licence, and must also pay £90 in court costs as well as £61 to fund victim services.
MOTORWAY: Leon Langrish, of Coggeshall Road in Braintree, Essex, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 33-year-old drove a BMW 335 along the M4 near Swindon at more than 70mph on September 2, 2023.
He received a fine of £620 plus six penalty points on his driving licence, and must also pay £90 in court costs as well as £248 to fund victim services.
