Two suspects arrested in Old Town following reports of a woman being threatened with a knife are due to appear in court.
Police handcuffed three men - one on suspicion of robbery and the other two on suspicion of affray - after raiding an address above the old Co-op Funeralcare on High Street on Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to reports of a knifepoint robbery near Wood Street at around 8am on June 4, temporarily closing the road while emergency service workers and vehicles attended the scene.
Three police cars, a police van, and an ambulance parked nearby.
Queues of traffic formed then later eased after the road reopened at around 10am.
Following further enquiries by the police, two people have been charged with differing offences and ordered to appear at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 5.
Stuart Randall, 43, of High Street, has been charged with threatening a woman - Nina Austin - with a blade in a public place.
Austin, 45, of no fixed abode, has also been arrested following the incident and later charged with failing to comply with the requirements of the sex offenders register.
