Motorists in Swindon have been advised to avoid parts of the M4 in the next two weeks due to road closures and potential delays of up to half an hour.
From 8pm on Thursday, June 6 to 6am on Friday, June 7, there will be slight delays caused by roadworks on the M4 in both directions, from junction 14 to junction 15.
There are more minor delays expected due to a lane closure for electrical work to be completed from 9pm Monday, June 10 to 6am Tuesday, June 11 westbound between junction 15 and junction 16.
Additionally, on Tuesday, June 11 (8pm) to Wednesday, June 12 (6am) there will be more lane closures westbound from junction 14 to junction 15.
But the longest delays are expected from 9pm on Thursday, June 13 to 6am Friday, June 14. The M4 eastbound between the two Swindon junctions 16 to 15 will be shut, with a diversion in place via the A3102, B4006, B4289, A4313, A4312, A4259 and A419 around the town.
Moreover, there will be a carriageway closure on the A419 southbound on Lady Lane to the A420 junction from Friday, June 14 (8pm) to Tuesday, June 18 (6am), with delays expected reach 30 minutes.
