Police have been searching for weapons in residential areas of Swindon after reports of anti-social behaviour.
Officers conducted weapons sweeps at St Andrews Ridge and Covingham Park, after reports from members of the public concerned with the behaviour of groups of youths.
Police say the checks are designed to identify any potential offenders and gather evidence against them.
A spokesperson for the force said: “More weapon sweeps on St Andrews Ridge and Covingham Park today.
“There have been concerns reported about the anti-social behaviour of groups of youths in these areas.
“These checks aim to identify offenders, gather evidence and reassure the residents as well.”
Last month permanent knife bins were installed around Wiltshire as part of Operation Sceptre, a two-week campaign to tackle knife crime in the county.
