The Aldi supermarket near Swindon's Magic Roundabout is set to be refurbished.

And it means shoppers who regularly visit the Drove Road store will have to find somewhere else to buy their groceries for more than a fortnight.

The last day people will be able to visit to get their food, drink and household items will be Sunday, June 16, with the doors closing at 4pm that day.

The supermarket will reopen on Thursday, July 4.

An Aldi spokesperson has revealed what the refurbishment will entail.

They said: “We will temporarily close our store on Drove Road on Sunday, June 16 at 4pm to carry out refurbishment works.

“When we reopen on Thursday, July 4, the store will be in our new layout, which ensures more space for fresh, chilled and food-to-go ranges, and will be much brighter with simpler layouts.

"We will keep the community updated on developments.”

The store was last closed for refurbishment in August 2017.
