A new round of road closures could add up to 30 minutes to drivers' journeys along the A419 in the coming days.
National Highways has updated its schedule for work on the busy dual carriageway. Each temporary closure is expected to cause moderate delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The A419 will be affected by the M4 eastbound carriageway closure between Junctions 15 and 16 from 9pm tonight to 6am on Friday, while electrical work is being carried out.
Diversion via A3102, B4006, B4289, A4313, A4312, A4259 and A419.
The southbound carriageway will be shut between the junctions for Lady Lane and the A420 from 8pm on Friday, June 14, to 6am on Tuesday, June 18.
The northbound carriageway will be closed from the A420 to the Turnpike junctions from 8pm on June 18 to 6am on Thursday, June 20.
The southbound A419 will be shut from the A420 turnoff to the Commonhead roundabout from 8pm on June 20 to 6am on Saturday, June 22.
Lastly, the northbound equivalent of this route will be closed from 8pm on Monday, June 24, to 6am on Wednesday, June 26.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
