A highly acclaimed artist who has toured Paris, Berlin and New York with his immersive art exhibition will be coming to Swindon for one month only.

Andrew J. Millar is renowned for pushing the limits of art with his Polaroid film work, and most recently held his immersive showcase solo exhibition 'Hidden Visions' at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

His work has earned him the title of one of the leading contemporary artists of our time.

Now, Andrew has chosen the award-winning Oink Gallery in Swindon as the home of his new exhibition "Rise".

His exhibition will run throughout July and invites art lovers to delve into a world where the ephemeral meets the eternal.

“Hosting Andrew J Millar at Oink Gallery is more than an exhibition - it's a landmark event for us and a proud moment with such a high-profile artist” said Mark Pepperall, owner of Oink Gallery on Victoria Road.

“It's a privilege to share Andrew's visionary work with our community and an exciting opportunity for people in Wiltshire and the Cotswolds to get up close to Andrews's work and meet him in person."

According to Andrew, who is based in Whitechapel, his fascination with Polaroid film started from a young age when he worked with print processes and photography, which led to him exploring light-sensitive material for his collages.

Now, Andrew has captured the attention of the international art scene by combining traditional art and photography to create haunting, dream-like images that challenge our perceptions of time and reality.

His exhibition in Swindon will launch with an exclusive opening preview at 7pm on July 5, where Andrew will talk with viewers about his work while they sip on expresso martinis served by Pour Bois.

Oink Gallery was first founded in 2016 by Art Curator and Director Mark Pepperall, and its collection includes world-famous artists such as Banksy, Damien Hurst and Jeff Koons, making it a must-visit location for art lovers.

The gallery prides itself on going beyond simply displaying artwork and instead curates unique and individual spaces for each exhibition to create an immersive experience.

Mark and the team at Oink Gallery say they now hope that Andrew's new exhibition can draw in even more visitors from across the UK to Swindon.
