A Swindon store manager has been praised for helping a new town centre business achieve a six-figure turnover in its first year.

Post and Packing Swindon had a challenging start due to low footfall near its town centre site and some struggles with raising awareness of the brand.

But store manager Hooman Ghoorchain has worked hard to help turn the business into a cornerstone of the community.

Mr Ghoorchain joined the team in September 2023 after working as an accredited Amazon delivery driver and under his management, the store has achieved an impressive six-figure turnover in less than 12 months.

The chain’s director Shantell Moore set up the Swindon franchise as an addition to her existing courier business and praised the store manager for being the linchpin to this operation.

She said: "It's all down to his exceptional leadership and customer service, ability to connect with clients and exceed their expectations, unparalleled dedication, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for service that has driven the business to new heights."

The business offers services including international packing, bespoke packaging solutions, postbox rentals, printing services and fulfilment support for firms of all sizes, within all sectors and delivery budgets.

Mr Ghoorchain secured three large fulfilment clients and a variety of local companies who have left good feedback on Google Reviews.

Client Will Rice said: “I’ve been using Post and Packing Swindon to take care of mail outs of a book I published this year.

“Despite the orders being ad-hoc and often to addresses all around the world, the team were extremely efficient, professional and patient in helping take care of my delivery and packaging needs, giving me different pricing options each time and always in a friendly way.

“I am grateful to have found such a trustworthy operation and will not hesitate to use them again for future projects.”

Looking ahead, Ms Moore envisions expanding the company’s reach by opening mini hubs in rural villages.

Investing £35,000 into the Swindon branch allowed the staff to provide necessary support for location sourcing and fixed assets, and it has added new services like luggage storage via the Stasher Network.

Ms Moore added: “The focus remains on maintaining a customer-centric approach, further expanding our diverse and inclusive workforce, and expanding our team with individuals who share their commitment to exceptional service.

“I extend my deepest gratitude to Hooman ‘Golden Nugget’ Ghoorchian, whose contributions have been instrumental in our success story, and look forward to many more prosperous years ahead.”
