A Swindon escape rooms business is up for sale on Facebook - just weeks after allegations that staff there were not being paid.

The Adver reported last week that three Escape Room HQ employees - all young adults - lost their jobs and were owed them weeks worth of unpaid wages

After the Adver approached former and current director/owners John and Emma Tanner for comment, two of the three staff were paid the money owed. One claims they were not.

Now, a listing on the Facebook Marketplace shows the facility in Hobley Drive has gone on sale for £15,000.

A new bar built in May is included in the package.

The listing says: "Escape Room business with bar for sale in Swindon,

"2 x 5-star escape rooms complete. Also, a third room that is three-quarters complete.

"1st escape room Subject Z was built and opened in January 2024. 2nd escape room Holy Grail was built and opened in March 2024.

"Bar was built in May 2024.

"Third room Diamond Vault 3/4 built and not a lot left to have this room complete.

"Viewings welcomed by appointment or drop a message and we can talk on the phone."

Eventually, two of the three staff members in question, all who say they had never signed an employment contract or even received a payslip, were paid.

When the Adver asked if all three staff members would get the money owed, Emma Tanner insisted they would.
