A teenager has been arrested after a group of young people reportedly threatened a pedestrian in Penhill.

Police say that the youths approached a man who was walking between Durrington Walk and Hilmarton Avenue at around 7.30pm on Monday, June 17.

One of the teenagers then threatened the victim with a weapon.

Officers later arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of affray and possession of a blade in a public place.

The suspect has since been released on bail.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident and for members of the public to provide any information about the confrontation that could help their investigation.
