A popular food and drink festival is back for another year as organisers prepare to take over a Wiltshire park with music, food, fun and games.

The Chippenham Food and Drink Festival will offer a full programme of live entertainment, circus skills, fairground rides and food.

The event is completely free to enter and will take place in Monkton Park in Chippenham from June 28 to 30, opening from 10am to 6pm on Friday, 9am to 6.30pm on Saturday, and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.

Organisers from Zoom Events say the focus is all on celebrating local, regional, national and international food and drink.

"We are delighted to be bringing our unique formula of family-friendly, food-related fun to Chippenham for the first time," said Paul Kennedy, director of Zoom Events.

"We have a strong lineup of food, drink, music and entertainment so there really will be something for everyone to enjoy at our festival throughout the weekend."

The 2023 event saw a range of events from celebrity chef talks, cheese masterclasses, wine tasting, Punch and Judy shows, dog shows and a range of food.

This year, popular dishes and street food from all around the world will be on offer, including  Mexican wraps, jerk chicken, Bratwurst sausages, Japanese Katsu curry, Chinese sweet and sour dishes, traditional Sri Lankan food and more.

Having experienced a culinary tour around the world, visitors will then be able to quench their thirst with craft beers, cider, prosecco, gin and more in Famous Last Stand bar's alfresco dining area, or pick up some handmade groceries and fine bottled beverages to take home for later.

Bands will take to the stage, and children will be kept busy with a range of workshops, circus skills, balloon modelling and fairground rides.

Children's author Suzan Ruben-Alderton will make a special appearance to read her famous story 'Fairy in a Pop Can', and entertainer Froggle Parties will be well equipped with magic, bubbles, and puppets to keep the kids busy.
