Schools have given advice to students attending on days when temperatures have been forecast to be the hottest of the year so far.
Pupils in Swindon have been told they do not need to wear all or part of their uniform.
A heat health alert for Wiltshire from Monday, June 24 to Thursday, June 27 by the UK Health Security Agency when temperatures are predicted to hit 27C by the Met Office.
A Dorcan Academy spokesperson wrote on social media: “Due to the anticipated heatwave this week we are allowing students to wear exemplary school PE Kit for this week only.
“Students may continue to wear their regular school uniform; however, shirts must be tucked in if they do so.”
Students must wear the full PE kit, as specified on their website.
Others are allowing a reduced uniform. Lawn Manor Academy told parents: “Due to the warm weather tomorrow, blazers will not be required.
“All other parts of uniform are required.”
Swindon Academy has similarly told students they do not need to wear a tie or blazer.
Kingsdown School is also allowing PE kit.
