A man was extradited from Germany to appear in a Swindon court on a drug charge.

Pjetar Pisha, 37, of no fixed abode, is accused of conspiring to supply cocaine, a class A drug, between August 28 and September 30, 2020.

He appeared in Swindon Magistrates Court on July 4 and pleaded not guilty.

Mr Pisha, wearing a blue jeans, blue hoodie and a black gilet in the dock, said via an Albanian-English interpreter that he hoped to clear his name.

The court heard that Mr Pisha had been arrested in Germany from where he was extradited to the UK.

The seriousness of the allegation means that his case must be heard in Salisbury Crown Court on July 31.

Mr Pisha was not granted bail.

He was represented by Mayfairs Law of Ilford, London which specialises in immigration and criminal defence. The Crown prosecution was represented by Mr Adam Cooper.
