Swindon has football fever as flags are being displayed and pints are being sunk hours before England play in the Euro 2024 quarter-finals later today.
Ahead of the big England vs Switzerland game, pubs and bars in Swindon have already begun to let in football fans and pull out the bunting in support of their country.
The sports event is expected to be shown on almost every pub screen in the town, and if it is anything like the last England match last Sunday, pubs can expect a sell-out event.
Over at the Steam Railway in Old Town, the beer garden was already packed with England shirts, an endless stream of drinks and music blaring all before 3pm.
Elly Griffiths, assistant manager at the Steam Railway told the Adver: "At the last few games we have had a cap of 475 people and we always reach full capacity before the game starts.
"We've had people queueing to get in since before we even opened the doors at 12."
One England fan, who wasn't able to get into the packed pub for the last game against Slovakia, added: "We decided to get here as early as possible this time to try and grab a good spot.
"Is it coming home? Probably not. But we'll still have a great night anyway."
