A new weather warning has been issued for Swindon and Wiltshire.
The Met Office has forecast heavy rain throughout this evening and into the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The yellow-level warning is in place for much of south-west England and south wales, and ends at 3am on July 9.
A spokesperson said: "Rain becoming persistent and heavy this evening, leading to some impacts on travel and infrastructure.
"Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.
"Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.
"Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely."
Temperatures will range from 13 and 16 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds reaching 25mph overnight.
There is a 95 per cent chance of heavy rain every hour until 1am. From 2am, the likelihood lowers to 90 per cent.
There is a 60 per cent chance of light rain from 3am to 5am on Tuesday, followed by an 80 per cent chance of heavy rain between 5am and 6am, then a 60 per cent chance of light rain between 6am and 7am.
The rest of Tuesday morning should be dry and cloudy.
