A man has been charged with rape following an alleged incident in Old Town.
Rooney Gardi, of Calne Road in Lyneham, has been charged with rape after a reported serious sexual assault which occurred in the Dammas Lane car park during the early hours of Sunday, June 30.
The 22-year-old has been remanded in custody and appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Saturday, July 6.
He has since been remanded until his next court appearance which will be a pre-trial preparation hearing on Friday, August 2, at Swindon Crown Court.
